White and light in Rzucewo

Wedding styling in the garden pavilion at the castle in Rzucewo, with white, glass and light as the central theme.

White and glass set the direction of the entire setting

We decorated the wedding in the garden pavilion of the castle in Rzucewo in 2025. The main theme was white, glass and light, and the concept itself was based on white and glass. The flowers were a delicate complement to the reception setting, not its main topic. We matched the whole thing to the garden pavilion, which itself is white, so the decoration didn't have to compete with it. It was enough that she emphasized its character and brought warmth to the interior.

The palette was narrow: white, glass and gold accents. With such an economical set, each accessory is visible immediately, which is why we worked with texture instead of color. Gypsophila, glass and white tablecloth reflect light differently, so the white does not merge into one flat spot. We usually arrive at such a palette gradually, from a conversation with the couple and reviewing their inspirations, to a concept in which only what really fits the room remains.

The white pavilion stands next to the red brick castle

The Jan III Sobieski Castle in Rzucewo is a former neo-Gothic family residence from 1840-1845, which today operates as a hotel. It stands on the high shore of the Bay of Puck. From a bird's eye view, you can clearly see how the white garden pavilion is adjacent to the red brick castle, and the bay stretches in the background. The pavilion is mainly used for wedding receptions and can accommodate approximately 130 people. If the guest list is shorter, the party can be held in the historic interior of the castle.

There are also smaller restaurant rooms in the castle, including Stained Glass, Clock, Golden and Navy Blue, as well as the Library and the Winery. The whole area is surrounded by a 7-hectare historic park, where you can plan an outdoor ceremony and then go straight to the pavilion with your guests. In the area there is a four-row linden-lined Aleja Sobieskiego leading to Osłonin, good for a walk and photos of the bride and groom. There are about 50 rooms on site, including apartments, so many guests can stay overnight.

Delicate flowers complemented white and glass

The flowers were supposed to be a subtle complement to the setting, so we stuck to white and light forms. The decoration included a gypsophila and white flowers in small glass vases, a white gerbera with a gypsophila and a white rose in glass. Gypsophila gives volume without weight and connects small compositions into a whole. A single gerbera or rose, on the other hand, has a clear, clean shape that stands on its own in the glass and does not need an extensive background.

Apart from flowers, the basic material was glass, from plates to small vases. The glass does not introduce a new color, so it does not disturb the whiteness, and at the same time it reflects light and adds lightness to the tables. We usually choose flowers and fabrics when the concept and palette are already established. With such a light palette, we compare tablecloths and flowers side by side, because white can be warm or cool, and the combination of two different shades can look random.

White, glass and gold accents met on the tables

On a round table with a white tablecloth there are glass plates, flowers in vases and a table number in a gold frame. Glass charger plates add layer and shine to the setting without overwhelming the white tablecloth. Gold accents, such as the number frame, warm up the glass and white and give the eye a focal point. Thanks to them, the whole thing does not look sterile, although the palette can be described in three words: white, glass and gold.

Small vases also make practical sense. The low decoration does not cover the faces of people sitting on the other side of the round table, so conversation flows freely throughout the evening. It is also easier to arrange several small dishes between the place settings than one large arrangement, and the countertop does not look crowded. When planning tables, we always leave a comfortable space for plates and other tableware, because the decoration is supposed to serve the guests.

Candles and small lamps created the atmosphere of the room

In addition to the room decoration and floristry, we also prepared light decorations, because candles and small lamps were the core of the setting. It was the light that played the main role, and the white and glass created the background for it. We agreed on the arrangement of candles and lamps taking into account the space of the pavilion and the possibility of preparing the room. In practice, we check where the light can be safely placed, how to place it and what can be prepared before the guests arrive.

This combination works for a simple reason. The white reflects the warm glow of the candles, and the glass disperses it in many tiny reflections, so even small light sources are visible throughout the interior. In such light, white also becomes softer. That's why we didn't need strong colors with this concept. After dark, this light gives the room character, and the delicate flowers in the glass look even lighter.

We plan assembly and disassembly in advance

For us, the wedding day begins with assembly, which we plan with plenty of time. We arrive with elements previously prepared in the studio and we work according to a fixed order. We start with fabrics, then arrange glass and flowers, and finally candles and lamps. When it comes to decorations based on glass, this is important because fragile dishes are placed only on ready tables, and we check the lamps and candles before the room is full.

After the party is over, we dismantle it. We collect glass, candles, lamps and fabrics, pack them safely for transport, and leave the room in the condition agreed with the facility. We set the dismantling date in advance, because each place has its own work rhythm. We also adjust the assembly plan to the space of the room and when to start preparing it.

The pavilion before decoration: the fabric from the ceiling is already hung, the tables are still without tablecloths, the chairs are without covers.

What do we advise couples who are planning a similar wedding?

When decorating a white pavilion, we advise you to work with texture and light, not just color. White without the contrast of textures quickly becomes monotonous, so it is worth combining light flowers with glass and the soft glow of candles. Gold in frames or small accessories is enough to make the whole thing not seem cold. Ask the facility about the rules regarding candles and lamps as early as possible, before you order the decoration, because the entire lighting plan depends on them.

If the ceremony is to take place in the castle park, we recommend an arch with white flowers and greenery against the background of trees. Due to the wind from the Bay of Puck, it is worth planning heavy arch bases, candles in lanterns and flowers that can tolerate full sun. In the pavilion, it is good to repeat the theme of the ceremony, for example the same flowers on the tables and candles in the glass. A bouquet in white and cream will clearly stand out from the greenery of the park and the linden avenue in the photos.
