Baby shower decorations in the Tricity and Pomerania
Author: Magdalena RabaWielki Dzień, a wedding decoration studio in the Tri-City
We will prepare baby shower decorations at home, in a café, restaurant or garden: balloons in the party colours, table flowers, a photo backdrop and a corner for messages to the parents-to-be. If the party is a surprise, the mum-to-be will only see the decorations when she walks into the flat in Gdańsk or the café in Gdynia.
- At home, in a café, restaurant or garden
- A proposal and quote within 24 hours
- Travel costs included in the quote from the start
- Gdańsk, Sopot, Gdynia and all of Pomerania
Example baby shower decoration packages
The first three packages are for parties at home, in a café and in the garden; the last is for the day the parents bring their baby home. We can prepare each in neutral beiges or pastels, depending on whether the baby’s sex is already known and whether the parents want to reveal it.
Baby shower at home
For a party in the mum-to-be’s living room or a friend’s flat, where everything centres on one table and a sofa. The decorations take up little space but still appear in every photo.
- A balloon garland above the table or sofa
- An “oh baby” sign on the wall or a stand
- A decorated chair for the mum-to-be
- Flowers in a low vase at the centre of the table
- A corner with cards for wishes and advice for the parents
Best for: Friends and sisters hosting the party at their own home or the mum-to-be’s.

When the party is in a café or restaurant, the decorations need to go up quickly without damaging anything. We use freestanding elements that do not require drilling or attaching anything to the walls.
- A balloon garland on a stand behind your table
- A clear balloon with a teddy bear by the entrance
- A welcome sign on an easel
- Table flowers in the party colours
- Decorations for the table displaying the cake from the bakery
Best for: Anyone booking a room in a café or restaurant who wants everything ready on arrival.

A party in a garden, on a terrace or beside a lakeside cottage in Kashubia. The decorations make use of the greenery already there and add a few striking accents.
- A balloon arch above the table or beside the gazebo
- A runner and wildflowers in small vases for a long table
- Guests’ messages hung on a string between the trees
- Flowers in a basket at the garden entrance
- A rain plan: the same decorations in the living room or under cover
Best for: Families with a garden, allotment or holiday home who prefer to celebrate outdoors.

We can set up balloons to welcome the baby home before the parents return from hospital. All we need is a family member or friend to let us into the flat.
- A balloon garland by the door or in the hallway
- “Welcome home” balloons in the living room
- A door sign with the baby’s name
- A clear balloon with a teddy bear in the decoration colours
- Flowers for the living-room table
Best for: Grandparents, siblings and friends who want to celebrate the baby’s birth and welcome the parents home.

These sets are a starting point rather than a fixed price list: we tailor each one to your date, venue, colours and number of guests, and you can combine elements from different sets.
Baby shower ideas
Sage, cream and beige
A neutral palette works when the baby’s sex is a surprise or the parents are not keen on pink and blue. We combine sage, cream and sand-coloured balloons with white flowers and dried grasses for a calm, warm feel.
One main pastel colour
If the baby’s sex is known, choose one pastel and two understated accents, such as blue with white and a little gold, or pink with cream. One colour feels lighter than a whole rainbow of pastels and is easy to repeat in balloons, flowers and signs.
A clear balloon with a teddy bear
A teddy bear sits inside a clear balloon, perhaps alongside small balloons in the party colours. We can add the baby’s name or “oh baby” to the outside. It looks lovely beside the mum-to-be’s chair or the cake.
Clouds and an “oh baby” sign
White balloon clouds above the table and a large “oh baby” sign create a backdrop that works with any palette. A good choice when you want light, airy decorations that do not reveal the baby’s sex.
A corner for wishes and advice
Cards and pens wait on a table by the entrance, where guests write wishes for the baby or advice for the parents-to-be. The cards can be pegged to a string or placed in a box for the parents to open after the baby is born.
A small photo backdrop
You do not need a large set: a section of wall with a balloon garland, a sign and a few flowers is enough. We place it close to a window because phone photos look best in daylight.
How to plan a baby shower step by step
A baby shower is most often organised by the mum-to-be’s friend, sister or cousin, though sometimes the parents-to-be arrange it themselves. It is usually held in the last trimester of pregnancy, often on a weekend afternoon, with the exact date chosen to suit the parents. The guest list determines the venue: a living room is enough for a few people, while a café room or garden works better for a larger group.
Guests are usually close friends and family, sometimes with partners, so it helps to choose a theme everyone will enjoy: one main colour, a neutral palette or a theme such as clouds, teddy bears or wildflowers. Once the theme is decided, invitations and the cake are easy to coordinate, and we will choose balloons, flowers and signs in the same colours.
A surprise baby shower for the mum-to-be
Sometimes the mum-to-be thinks she is simply going for coffee with her sister right up to the last moment. If the party is a surprise, we make all arrangements exclusively with the organiser and do not contact the parents-to-be unless you ask us to.
We set up before the mum-to-be arrives: in a café before the agreed time, or at home while someone takes her for a walk or shopping. We do not publish photos of the finished decorations before the party, so social media does not spoil the surprise.
What affects the price of baby shower decorations
The main factors are the number and size of the decorations: whether a garland above the table is enough or you also need a photo backdrop, a teddy-bear balloon, personalised name signs and flowers for several tables. The venue matters too: everything needs stands in a café, while garden decorations usually need to be larger to stand out against the greenery.
That is why we do not give fixed prices. If you have a budget you do not want to exceed, tell us at the start and we will suggest where to focus, such as one striking backdrop rather than small decorations throughout the flat.

Tell us what you are planning
The occasion, date, venue and approximate number of guests. A photo of the venue, garden or beach is very helpful.

We will get back to you within 24 hours with a proposal and quote. Travel costs from Gdańsk are included in the quote from the start, so you know the full amount before booking.
Refining the details
We work with you to choose colours, flowers, signs and accessories, so the set suits your venue and occasion.
Decorating on site
We deliver and install the decorations before your celebration. We agree installation and collection times with you in advance and, if the party is at a venue, with its staff as well.
Frequently asked questions
How much do baby shower decorations cost?
The price depends on the number of elements, the size of the garland or backdrop, the flowers and the venue, so we quote for each party individually. Send us the date, venue and colours if you have chosen them, and we will return with a proposal and quote within 24 hours.
Will you travel outside Gdańsk for a baby shower?
Yes, we decorate parties throughout the Pomeranian Voivodeship, whether in a café in Sopot, the grandparents-to-be’s home in Tczew or a garden near Wejherowo. Travel from our Gdańsk studio is charged separately, and we include the cost in the offer alongside the decoration quote from the start.
We do not know the baby’s sex. Which colours should we choose?
The simplest choice is a neutral palette: sage, cream, beige and white, sometimes with gold accents. These decorations work regardless of who is born. If you want to find out the baby’s sex during the party, we can add a confetti balloon to pop at the end.
Will you also provide the cake and refreshments?
No, we are a decoration studio: we prepare balloons, flowers, backdrops and table decorations. Order the cake and refreshments from a bakery or café, and we will coordinate the table decorations with the cake.
How do we order a welcome-home decoration if we do not know when the baby will leave hospital?
Write to us in advance once you know the approximate due date, and we will prepare a proposal and quote. We confirm the setup date with the family once the parents’ return home is known, and arrange access with the person who has the keys.
Will café decorations damage the walls?
Before preparing a proposal, we ask for photos of the venue and check what can be attached to the walls. If the venue does not allow attachments, we put the garland, sign and teddy-bear balloon on stands.
