Wedding decorations in Pomerania: Kashubia, the coast and Kociewie

Author: Magdalena RabaWielki Dzień, a wedding decoration studio in the Tri-City

We prepare wedding decorations throughout Pomerania, well beyond Gdańsk: beside Kashubian lakes, on the Bay of Puck and in Kociewie. Our projects already include weddings in Rzucewo, Gniew, Chmielno, Ostrzyce and Iwiczno. We can decorate a ceremony in a park, beside a lake or in a castle chapel, followed by the venue and tables, and create your bouquet too.

  • Kashubia, the coast and Kociewie, with travel costs quoted upfront
  • Installation and removal included, even far from Gdańsk
  • Complimentary photographs and a video of the decorations
  • A quote for your venue within 24 hours

Wedding decoration sets in Pomerania

We created these sets with out-of-town venues in mind: a lakeside room, a castle, a pavilion by the bay and a hotel where you stay for a second-day celebration. Treat them as a sketch: we adapt the flowers, colours and scale to your chosen venue.

  • A lakeside wedding

For venues in Kashubia with water outside the windows. Arrangements are kept low to preserve lake views, while candles create the atmosphere after dark.

    • Low guest-table arrangements below eye level
    • Candles in glass along the full length of the tables
    • Styling for the couple's seating area in the table colours
    • A white and green arch for a garden ceremony with water in the background
    • A bouquet and buttonhole using the same flowers as the arch

Best for: Couples marrying at a hotel or manor beside a Kashubian lake, for example around Chmielno or Ostrzyce.

  • A castle ceremony and reception

A ceremony in a castle chapel or chamber and a reception in a hall or courtyard, all in one palette. Castle walls already decorate the space, so flowers simply add warmth.

    • Flowers for the chapel or registrar's table in a chamber
    • Tall arrangements alternating with low ones in a large hall
    • Candles and foliage in smaller halls and chambers
    • A bridal bouquet, plus a bouquet and corsage for the maid of honour
    • Decoration fixing rules agreed with the castle in advance

Best for: Couples who have chosen a castle in Kociewie or the Puck region and want their ceremony and celebration in one place.

Ask about this set: A castle ceremony and reception
  • A pavilion by the bay

A ceremony in a waterfront park and a reception in a bright pavilion, where white, glass and light take the place of strong colour.

    • An arch of white flowers and foliage on weighted bases
    • Candles in lanterns along the aisle
    • Gypsophila and white flowers in glass for round tables
    • Decorative lighting: candles and small lights
    • Complimentary photographs and video of the decorations, including drone footage if the venue agrees

Best for: Couples planning a seaside wedding at a venue with a park or pavilion, where lighting matters most in the evening.

Ask about this set: A pavilion by the bay
  • A wedding with a second-day celebration

Two days at one out-of-town venue: full reception styling for the wedding and lighter decorations the next day, in the same colours.

    • Wedding decorations for the venue, tables and couple's seating area
    • Wood, linen and wildflowers in jugs for the second day
    • Warm string lights for the second day
    • Flower boxes and thank-you bouquets for parents
    • A 10% discount on the whole order when you add a photo booth or audio guestbook

Best for: Couples celebrating for two days at an out-of-town hotel who want the second day to have its own, more relaxed atmosphere.

Ask about this set: A wedding with a second-day celebration

These sets are a starting point rather than a fixed price list: we tailor each one to your date, venue, colours and number of guests, and you can combine elements from different sets.

Ideas for a wedding beyond the Tricity

  • White, glass and light in the Rzucewo pavilion

The white garden pavilion beside the castle in Rzucewo does not need strong colour. We decorated a wedding there in white, glass and gold accents: gypsophila in small vases, white roses and gerberas, and glass charger plates on white tablecloths. The strongest feature, though, was the glow of candles and small lights.

  • Pastels in the brick courtyard at Gniew

In the brick courtyard of Gothic Gniew Castle, round tables were dressed with flowers in pastel pink, white and cream, interwoven with greenery. Cream connected the white and pink, while foliage kept the result from becoming too sweet. Against red brick, pastels do not need to compete for attention, and pale petals stand out clearly from the walls in photographs, so stronger colours were unnecessary.

  • Lake Kłodno outside the windows in Chmielno

In Chmielno, we decorated the guest tables and newlyweds' seating area for a wedding at U Chłopa hotel on Lake Kłodno. The main room has windows overlooking the lake, so we suggest low arrangements that leave the water visible. The rustic interior works well with linen table coverings, wood and plenty of greenery.

  • Blush-pink flowers at a wedding in Ostrzyce

We decorated a wedding at Wodny Świat in Ostrzyce in two locations: the reception venue and the church. At the venue, guest tables held small glass vases with single flowers, while two arrangements framed the top table: one at the front and one on the hoop behind it. In the church, we dressed the pews with white fabric, bows and small pink bouquets, and covered the couple's chairs in blush-pink fabric. Carnations, gerberas and spray roses appeared in both locations, giving the church and reception a shared palette.

  • A summer wedding between forest and lake in Iwiczno

In August, we decorated a wedding at Zajazd Ren on Lake Trzechowskie, on the edge of the Tuchola Forest. The inn stands between woodland and water, so we suggest greenery, grasses and wildflowers instead of elaborate scenery. In summer heat, we keep arrangements away from hot spots, and flowers leave the studio well hydrated to help them last into the night.

Our projects in Pomerania

Wedding venues beyond the Tricity

These venues are in Kashubia, on the coast and in Kociewie, each with its own entry in our guide. We have already decorated weddings at four of them: the castle pavilion in Rzucewo, Gniew Castle, U Chłopa in Chmielno and Zajazd Ren in Iwiczno. We added Krokowa Castle as an intimate option near the sea, with civil ceremonies in its chambers.

How weddings differ in Kashubia, on the coast and in Kociewie

In Kashubia, water forms the backdrop. Many hotels and manors stand beside lakes, so garden ceremonies are best positioned with the lake behind them. On the Bay of Puck, wind from the water needs consideration: for park ceremonies, we plan arches on weighted bases, candles in lanterns and flowers that tolerate full sun. Whites and creams stand out well against the greenery of old parks and avenues.

Kociewie is a landscape of brick, the Vistula and forests. At Gothic Gniew Castle, we speak to the venue well before the wedding about where decorations can be carried in, where flowers can be stored and what cannot be attached inside the historic rooms. In Iwiczno, on the edge of the Tuchola Forest, you can marry in woodland or beside a lake, with no need to build a backdrop of your own.

A wedding far from Gdańsk: travel, installation and a backup plan

When the venue is outside the Tricity, travel becomes part of the day's schedule, and we include its cost in the proposal alongside the decoration quote from the start. We agree when we can begin and where to unload flowers with the venue in advance. Before leaving, we check every item on the list, because replacing a missing piece at the last minute is difficult far from the studio. We also choose flowers with the journey in mind: for a long trip in midsummer, we suggest varieties that handle transport and warmth well.

If the ceremony is in a park or beside a lake, we ask the venue about a covered alternative, such as a pavilion or room, from the start and prepare the arch so it can be moved if it rains. When the ceremony is in a chapel or outdoors and the reception is in a hall, we schedule the work to complete both locations. Installation finishes before guests arrive, leaving time for a final walk-through and adjustments.

What determines the price of wedding decorations in Pomerania?

Scale comes first: how many tables the room holds, the size of the arch or backdrop and which flowers you choose for your wedding month. Out of town, there is often a second location on the same day, such as a ceremony in a park, beside a lake or in a chapel followed by an indoor reception, and sometimes a second day with separate decorations. We use these elements to prepare a quote for your venue and date rather than referring you to a price list.

Installation and removal are included, and you receive complimentary photographs and a video of the decorations. When you add an extra attraction, such as an audio guestbook or photo booth, we apply a 10% discount to the whole order.

How we work

  1. Tell us what you are planning

The occasion, date, venue and approximate number of guests. A photo of the venue, garden or beach is very helpful.

  2. Proposal and quote

We will get back to you within 24 hours with a proposal and quote. Travel costs from Gdańsk are included in the quote from the start, so you know the full amount before booking.

  3. Refining the details

We work with you to choose colours, flowers, signs and accessories, so the set suits your venue and occasion.

  4. Decorating on site

We deliver and install the decorations before the ceremony or reception. After the wedding, we collect everything except the flowers, which are yours to keep. Installation and removal are included in the price.

Frequently asked questions

How much do wedding decorations in Pomerania cost?

We quote for a specific venue and date, taking into account tables, flowers and wedding month, arch or backdrop size, and whether an outdoor ceremony or second-day celebration is included. Send us the date, venue name and approximate guest count, and we will reply within 24 hours with a proposal and quote.

Do we pay separately for travel to Kashubia, the coast or Kociewie?

Yes, travel is charged separately. We set out from our studio in Gdańsk and quote travel to Chmielno, Krokowa or Gniew alongside the decorations from the start, so you know the full amount before booking.

Will the flowers survive the journey from Gdańsk to the venue?

Yes. We pack them at the studio to prevent damage on the journey and assemble the most delicate arrangements on site. We place flowers on the tables towards the end of installation so they still look fresh in the evening.

What happens to a lakeside or park ceremony if it rains?

We agree the wet-weather option with the venue during planning, so the decision can be made quickly on the day. The ceremony arch and flowers move into a pavilion or room, while lanterns and candles work just as well indoors.

Are installation and removal included outside the Tricity too?

Yes, including in Kashubia, by the bay and in Kociewie. For longer trips, we allow more travel and unloading time and agree venue access and collection times in advance.

Will you decorate a church or chapel outside the Tricity?

Yes, including a village church in Kashubia or a castle chapel. We agree what can be attached and when we can begin decorating with the parish or venue in advance. When you order venue and church decorations together, we decorate the car free of charge.

Can you also prepare decorations for the second-day celebration?

Yes. We suggest lighter, rustic styling for the second day. Wedding flowers, which are yours to keep anyway, can be used on the tables again.
