Gold, candles and flowers

Wedding decoration with floral arrangements, gold accents and soft candlelight.

We combined golden flower stands with lower compositions

For the September wedding in 2025, we have prepared hall decorations and wedding floristry for the couple. We based the whole thing on three elements: flowers, gold accents and soft candlelight. In the concept, we combined flowers on golden flower stands with lower compositions, thanks to which the decoration gained two levels. The first one, with tall golden stands and white flowers, can be seen from the entrance. The second one is only discovered up close, from a seat at the table.

Tall stands organize the space. At long tables, they set a vertical rhythm and give the bright room a distinct character from the very first moment. The lower compositions work on a different scale because they accompany guests during casual conversations with neighbors. We like this combination because it gives the impression of rich decoration without overwhelming the interior. Gold adds shine, white flowers soften it, and the whole thing remains light and legible, also in photos.

On long tables, the height of the decorations matters

Long tables provide plenty of space for flowers, but require careful attention. When the compositions are at eye level, guests sitting opposite can no longer see each other and the conversation begins to break down. Therefore, with this arrangement, we usually think in two layers. Tall stands raise flowers above the heads of those sitting, and lower compositions are kept below the line of sight. A free space is created between them, through which the faces on the other side of the table can be seen.

This is how we built this decoration. Gold stands with white flowers gave a high accent, and lower compositions complemented it. Spacing is important in such a combination. Racks placed too densely create a wall and too rarely look random. We usually choose the distances depending on the length of the tables and the size of the room, so that each part of the table has its own portion of flowers and no one sits hidden behind the decorations. We check it at the planning stage, before anything goes on stage.

In the evening, the bright room is filled with candlelight

A bright room during the day shows the entire decoration well. You can see every flower, every golden detail and shape of the composition. As the party turns into the evening, candles begin to set the mood. Their soft light is reflected in the golden elements and warms the white of the flowers, so the arrangement becomes more intimate. That's why we supplemented the flowers with candles. They tie the whole idea together and allow the decoration to change along with the wedding.

With candles, we always remember about safety. We place them stably and away from flowers and napkins, so that the flame does not touch anything, even if someone moves something. We do not place candles at the very edge of the table because our hands are in constant motion during conversations. We check the rules regarding open fire with the facility already at the concept stage. Not every room allows it, and it is better to know about such restrictions in advance.

Cloth napkins balanced the gold accents

The textiles on the table often determine whether the decoration appears coherent. These are the elements that guests have in front of them throughout the entire party. In this project, next to the candles, we complemented the flowers with fabric napkins in calm colors. With gold and white flowers, the napkin doesn't have to say anything. It is supposed to be a background that quiets the place at the table and gives the eye a moment of rest. Against this background, gold looks elegant, not flashy.

The cloth napkin also has practical significance. It is soft to the touch, drapes nicely and makes the table look polished even up close. We usually decide on the colors of textiles with the couple at the concept stage, because it is an element visible in many photos from the party. Calm shades work better here than strong contrast, especially in a bright room, where each intense color immediately attracts the eye and takes away attention from the flowers.

We match the decorations to the room and party plan

We start each decoration with a slow conversation. The couple tells us about their inspirations, how they imagine the party and what is important to them. Then we look at the room, its proportions and the table arrangement plan. Only on this basis is a concept created with a color palette and a preliminary selection of flowers and textiles. In this project, we matched the decorations to the character of the room and the party plan.

A bright room with long tables tells a lot. It accepts white and gold well, so it doesn't need strong colors to look festive. The reception plan, in turn, tells us where guests will sit, where they will pass and which places will be taken for photos. We work in different rooms in Pomerania and we know that the same idea looks slightly different in each of them. The couple and I refined the scope of decorations before the September wedding, so that each element had its place.

September is still the height of the wedding season, and at the same time a time when the choice of flowers is still wide. We order flowers in advance and prepare the compositions in the studio as close to the wedding as possible so that they arrive fresh at the venue. Large items such as tall racks require a separate transportation plan. We also agree in advance with the facility when we can start work, where to unload and whether the tables will be set.

On the wedding day, we start with structural elements, in this case tall gold stands, and then arrange flowers, lower compositions, napkins and candles. Finally, we walk around the room and look at it through the eyes of the guest, from the entrance and from the table level. We make minor corrections right away, before the first guests arrive. We also agree on the date of dismantling with the facility. After the party, we come back, dismantle the decorations, take everything we brought and leave the room tidy.

We advise you how to combine gold, candles and white flowers

If you are planning a similar setting, start with the proportions. Gold works as an accent, not a background, so it's worth choosing one dominant element, for example tall stands, and building the rest around it. White flowers look good with gold and candles, but they need space to show their shape. For long tables, plan two levels of decoration so that guests can see each other without any obstacles. Better to have fewer compositions, but well placed, than a table full to the brim.

Plan candles together with the decoration and ask the room if open flames can be used before committing to a specific idea. When it comes to textiles, choose calm colors that do not compete with flowers. Also check the decoration on the room plan, because long tables, high stands and aisles for guests must harmonize with each other. We will be happy to go through these decisions with you at a meeting.
