White and blue hydrangeas in Dworek Kleszczewo

Wedding decoration at Dworek Kleszczewo with white and blue hydrangeas on golden flower stands, candles in glass and a white ceremony setting at the gazebo.

We based the palette on white and blue hydrangeas

We prepared the wedding decoration at Dworek Kleszczewo in June 2025. The scope of work that we agreed with the couple included the decoration of the hall, outdoor ceremony setting and wedding floristry, including a bouquet and boutonniere. The wedding took place at the gazebo in the park of the facility, and the reception took place in the hall, so the setting was created in two places. We decorated the aisle, chairs and ceremony table in the park, and the guests' tables and the couple's table in the hall. Each of these places has a different background: green grass and trees in the park, and white walls and large glass in the room.

The white and blue of hydrangeas were joined by the gold of flower stands, the green of eucalyptus and transparent glass. Blue hydrangeas, from light blue to shades of purple, are the only distinct color among the flowers and appear in every composition in the room. With many round tables, such repetition brings order to the interior because the eye combines the blue spots into one rhythm and perceives the room as a coherent whole. This rhythm is maintained by golden flower stands, which mark a clear vertical above the guests' tables. Eucalyptus brings a grayish green that peacefully neighbors with blue, and the glass leaves the main role to the flowers.

Dworek Kleszczewo hosts weddings for 30 to 200 guests

Dworek Kleszczewo is located in Kleszczewo, in the Trąbki Wielkie commune, near Gdańsk. The facility has two rooms, and the large wedding hall has air conditioning and a parquet floor. A large, glass orangery was also built next to the manor house. The area is fenced, has a garden and a playground, and the facility also organizes outdoor weddings. The ceremony and reception can therefore take place on site, without traveling between them. The manor also offers accommodation for guests and an apartment for the bride and groom.

The room in which we worked has white walls and white curtains, and one wall is entirely glazed and overlooks a garden with birch trees and hostas. A light fabric with rows of light bulbs was stretched from the ceiling, and crystal chandeliers and green wreaths with white flowers hung below. The interior was already decorated in the upper part, so our decoration was placed on the tables and in front of the couple's table. Compositions on high flower stands create a second level of decoration above the guests' heads, higher than candles and napkins on tabletops. Against a light background, the blue of hydrangeas and the gold of flower stands can also be clearly seen from the other end of the room.

We placed tall golden flower stands with arrangements on the guests' tables

We made compositions on the guests' tables with white and blue hydrangeas, white roses, white eustoma with buds, white carnations, gypsophila and eucalyptus. Each of them stood on a tall, slender golden flower stand. Hydrangea gives the composition full body and color, rose and eustoma add a distinct shape, and gypsophila and eucalyptus loosen its edges. Only a thin leg of the flower stand remains at face height, and the composition itself begins only above the heads. Guests on both sides of the round table can see each other and can talk freely, despite the large composition in the middle.

Lower on the counter, we placed ivory-colored pillar candles in transparent glass cylinders. We placed white fabric napkins next to the place settings, which match the white tablecloths and flowers. The warm shade of the candles balances the cool blue of the hydrangeas. This arrangement makes it easier to maintain a safe distance because the flowers are high on the flower stand and the flame is low, in a glass cover. Place the cylinders in the middle of the countertop, away from the edges, so that if the table accidentally hits them, they won't tip over.

We arranged the flowers on the couple's table low, along its front

On the round table of the bride and groom, a long, low composition was created that runs along its front. We made it from white and blue hydrangeas, white roses and gypsophila, and we arranged the white delphinium to flow down the tablecloth. Delphinium extends the composition down and connects the top with what is in front of the table. The composition is low because the couple is sitting right behind it, and this table can be seen from the entire room. A high decoration at the front would cover the couple's faces, while a long and low one frames them from below.

In front of the table, on the floor, we placed pillar candles in glass cylinders of various heights and tall glass vases with white delphinium. From the side, you can clearly see that the different heights form steps that lead the eye from the floor to the flowers on the countertop. Glass is particularly important here because the flame on the floor is close to passing people and the tablecloth reaching to the ground. The high cylinder protects the fire from air movement and accidental contact with the fabric, and at the same time allows light to pass through. Transparent larkspur vases repeat the material of the cylinders, so the candles and flowers in front of the table form a coherent group.

The passage to the gazebo was marked by rose petals and tulle bows

The place of the ceremony was a round paved square in the park of the facility, under a white, openwork, metal gazebo. There the ceremony table was placed, and golden chairs for the guests were placed along the aisle. We scattered cream rose petals on the grass along the passage and in the square itself. We tied white tulle bows on the guests' chairs near the aisle. The tulle indicates the direction to the gazebo, and because it is light and translucent, it does not overwhelm the greenery of the park in the background.

We placed a glass vase with white hydrangeas and roses on the ceremony table. White stands out well against the greenery of the park, so even small elements, such as petals on the grass or tulle on the chairs, stand out clearly. Outside the room, we place flowers in vessels with heavy bottoms and only on a level, stable surface, because light glass can easily be knocked over. We tie the fabrics tightly on the chairs so that they stick to the backrests even when there is a gust of wind. Only light colors remained at the ceremony, the white of flowers and fabrics and the cream of the petals, and the blue of hydrangeas only appeared in the hall.

White hydrangeas and roses connected the ceremony and reception

The couple's golden chairs sat at the ceremony table. We wrapped them in white chiffon tied in a bow, and added a bouquet of white hydrangea to each bow. The chiffon is arranged in soft folds, and the tulle on the guest chairs holds a stiffer shape. The couple's chairs are distinguished by their texture, although they remain the same white. The bouquet repeats the hydrangea in the vase, thanks to which the chairs and the table share the same flower. Only the couple's chairs received flowers, and the guests' chairs are decorated with tulle alone, so in the park, hydrangea appears only at the ceremony table.

White hydrangeas and roses, the same species as those at the gazebo, were also found in the room, where they were joined by blue in every composition. Thanks to this, the ceremony in the park and the reception in the hall look like two parts of one setting. We also decorated the board for guests with flowers and candles. The compositions for the hall and the park are created in our studio at the same time, shortly before the wedding, so the flowers in both places are equally fresh. Not everything you see in these photos is our work, because some of the equipment belongs to the facility.

Our advice for couples planning a bright reception venue and an outdoor ceremony

In a bright room, every color is visible at once, so one accent is enough, provided you repeat it on every table. Also decide where this color should appear and where white alone will be enough. Before you order accessories, agree with the facility what the room equipment includes, from tablecloths and chairs to ceiling decorations. Then it is easier to assess where the decoration adds something and where the room is already ready. For round tables, plan compositions that are either high, on slender flower stands, or low, which do not reach eye level. The medium height composition stands right between the faces and makes it difficult to talk across the table.

Only use candles in glass, including those placed on the floor, because the flame is close to fabrics and people passing by. The wind outdoors moves petals and tugs fabrics, so have a supply of petals and make sure bows are tied tightly on chairs. You can distinguish the couple's chairs with a different fabric than the guests' chairs, for example chiffon instead of tulle, without introducing a new color. If the room has a glass wall, the garden behind the glass becomes the background of the decoration, so you can also combine the colors of the flowers with the greenery outside. Before preparing each concept, we ask the facility about the room's equipment and rules regarding candles.
