A lakeside wedding at Zajazd Ren
Decorations for an outdoor ceremony and lakeside reception at Zajazd Ren in Iwiczno: a wedding arch, ribbons on chairs, flowers in vases and citrus fruit on the tables.
Wedding by the lake: colorful flowers and citrus fruits for summer
In August 2025, we decorated a wedding reception by the lake, at Zajazd Ren in Iwiczno, Kociewie. The ceremony took place outdoors, on the lawn on the shore of Lake Trzechowski, and the reception took place in a wooden room with glass walls. The scope of our work included outdoor ceremony decoration, hall decoration and wedding floristry. From our studio come the floral composition and white fabric on the arch, small bouquets and ribbons on the chairs by the aisle, flowers in vases on the tables and lush compositions on a rectangular table.

The flowers are peach, pink, orange, yellow, burgundy and magenta, complemented by white and green. The colors of the flowers are complemented by the colors of citrus fruits, i.e. grapefruit, orange and lemon, as well as the powder pink of napkins and candles. The background is the green of grass and reeds, water and the light wood of the hall. Flowers and citrus fruits meet on a rectangular table, shown here from the side: you can see two compositions, vases with single flowers, a jug of mint, grapefruit halves and pink candles in glass. Pink flowers on long, thin stems emerge above the compositions.

Zajazd Ren in Iwiczno: lake, forest and wooden hall
Zajazd Ren is located on Lake Trzechowskie in Iwiczno, in the Kaliska commune in Kociewie, on the edge of the Tucholskie Forests. Its area is over 3 hectares and includes meadows and a forest. An outdoor ceremony can take place in the forest or by the lake, without having to travel to the hall. In the wide frame you can see the ceremony site: on the left, a large tree and a wooden platform, next to the reeds there is an arch with fabric and flowers, and in front of it two blocks of white chairs with a passage in the middle. Behind the reeds there is a lake and on the other bank there is a forest.

There are two rooms in the inn: Gawra for about 200 people and Banquet Hall for about 100 people. There are also 55 double rooms, an apartment and a private parking lot. The reception took place in a wooden hall with an exposed roof truss, chandeliers and garlands of small lights under the roof. Through the glass walls you can see the trees and the lake. The wide shot shows round tables with white tablecloths, white chairs, pink napkins and flower vases.

Wedding arch by the lake: poles, white fabric and flowers
The wedding arch was placed on the lawn, just in front of the reed belt. It was built of unbarked wooden poles, and its legs were set in tree stumps. On the upper beam we pinned the white fabric into two soft waves, and in the upper right corner we arranged a lush flower arrangement. The photo shows the entire arch, and at the bottom of the frame the backs of white chairs with bouquets. The frame of poles is open, so the arch does not cover what is behind it: the reeds, the pier and the lake.

On the right side, the fabric flows down the leg of the arch to the grass, and on the left, it hangs loosely along the pole. The composition is asymmetric: we placed it at the junction of the upper beam and the right leg. Up close you can see the fabric tied in a wave and long green twigs that extend to the sides, beyond the outline of the composition. In the background there are reeds and a white garden swing under the trees. We fasten fabrics outdoors with the wind expected over the water in mind.

The close-up shows peach and pink roses, orange gerbera, yellow chrysanthemums, burgundy and white carnations and cream eustomas. Among them are gypsophila, eucalyptus and small pink flowers in the shape of bells. The entire composition also included spray roses, yellow spider chrysanthemums with thin petals, tiny pink chrysanthemums and orange spikes. White carnations, cream eustomas and gypsophila separate the strong colors from each other, and the green of the eucalyptus gives them a background. The same flowers return in compositions on the rectangular table in the room.

Outdoor ceremony: decorating the chairs and the aisle to the arch
In front of the arch, on the grass, there were two blocks of white folding wooden chairs, with a passage between them. We decorated the chairs along the aisle with small bouquets and long ribbons, so the path to the arch is marked on both sides. The video below shows an arch and chairs with ribbons, a close-up of the composition on the arch, a chair with a bouquet against the background of a thatched building, and then tables in the hall. In the photo you can see the passage leading to the arch: on the outermost chairs there are bouquets with long ribbons, and on the left there is a pier and a lake.

The bouquets are small, with several flowers each: pink spray roses, cream and yellow eustomas and yellow chrysanthemums. We added long, wavy ribbons in three colors to the bouquets: mustard orange, pink and white, and their ends reach almost to the grass. In the photo, the bouquet of cream eustomas and pink bud has mustard orange and white ribbons. In the video, the wind moves the ribbons of a similar bouquet, and in the background there is a chair with pink flowers and a mustard-orange ribbon. The white ribbons refer to the fabric on the arch, and the remaining ribbons refer to the colors of the flowers.

Wedding hall decoration: round tables in a wooden hall
The round tables were covered with white floor-length tablecloths, and there were white wooden chairs with gray seats. On glass plates with a gold, pearl rim there were napkins made of powder pink material, tied in a knot. The photo shows them up close, together with glass and vases with flowers, and in the background there is a rectangular table with compositions and an open glass door. The pink of the napkins and the colors of the flowers in the vases are clearly visible on the white tablecloths. We do not take credit for every element visible in the photos, because some of the equipment belongs to the facility.

A rectangular table covered with a white tablecloth stood next to the glass wall. We placed two colorful compositions on it with the same flowers as on the arch, so the decoration of the wedding hall refers to the place of the ceremony. There is no one large composition on round tables, because the flowers stand there individually, in small vases. The next shot shows the room from the other side: on the left, a rectangular table with compositions, then round tables, and in the background a fireplace.

Flowers for the wedding table: vases and lush compositions
Flowers for a wedding table do not have to create one composition. The round tables were decorated with several small glass vases of various shapes, each with a single flower or a twig. We put carnations in four colors: white, burgundy, magenta and peach. There are also peach and pink spray roses, cream and yellow eustomas, tiny pink chrysanthemums, orange gerberas and yellow chrysanthemums. The close-up shows vases with carnations, spray roses and yellow flowers, and next to them a jug with lemon and mint, a bottle with a buckle closure, half a grapefruit and an orange.

Flower arrangements for a wedding table can also be lush, like the two we prepared for a rectangular table next to a glass wall. They include peach and pink roses, orange gerberas, yellow spider chrysanthemums, burgundy carnations, tiny pink chrysanthemums, gypsophila and orange spikes. A close-up of one shows roses, yellow spider chrysanthemum, orange gerbera, burgundy carnations and gypsophila. Next to them there are vases with single flowers and a pink candle in glass, and halves of oranges and lemons next to them.

Wedding candles and citrus fruits between vases
There were candles between the vases: pink and white in tall glass cylinders, and small pink ones in fluted jars. The powder pink candles repeat the color of the napkins, and the white candles refer to the tablecloths. The photo from above shows candles in cylinders, vases with spray roses, carnations and yellow eustoma, a jug with lemon and mint, orange halves and a lemon. The flame is shielded in glass, so it is worth planning wedding candles in such a setting. Before you choose them, ask the venue whether open flames are allowed.

Halves of grapefruits, oranges and lemons lay between vases and candles. The colors of the fruit are close to the colors of the flowers: oranges repeat the color of gerberas, and lemons repeat the color of yellow chrysanthemums and eustomas. A close-up shot against the light shows a grapefruit half between two small pink candles in fluted jars, followed by lemon halves and a pink candle. This light highlights the grooves in the glass and the color of the candles. The wedding table decoration here consists of a few simple things: flowers, glass, candles and fruit.

What do we advise couples who are planning a wedding by the lake?
If you are planning a wedding by the lake, start with what is already there: water, reeds, trees and grass. Decorations for an outdoor wedding do not have to be extensive, because often an arch and a clearly marked passage are enough. Be careful with the wind when out on the water: long ribbons and fabrics will move, so they need to be tied securely. Also have a plan for rain and ask the venue where the ceremony can take place then. It is worth agreeing with the object in advance where the arch can be placed.

Before you choose flowers, find out what the facility provides: tablecloths, chairs, plates, napkins and glassware. Single flowers in small vases work well on round tables, and you can plan lush compositions only for one selected table. If you are planning a rustic wedding in a wooden hall, remember that the strong colors of the flowers are clearly visible against the background of light wood and white tablecloths. For our part, we ask the facility about the assembly and disassembly times, and we leave some time for the assembly itself. When you talk to us, take photos of the decorations you like, because we start the concept with such inspirations.
