Balloons for shop, restaurant and salon openings in the Tri-City
Author: Magdalena RabaWielki Dzień, a wedding decoration studio in the Tri-City
We will prepare balloons for the opening of your shop, restaurant, café, salon or office in Gdańsk, Sopot, Gdynia and throughout Pomerania. We can place a balloon arch in your brand colours at the entrance, a ribbon with floral styling in the doorway for the ceremonial cutting, and flowers on the counter and a photo backdrop inside. We set up the decorations before your doors open, at a time agreed with you, and their price includes installation and removal.
- Proposal and quote within 24 hours
- We issue VAT invoices
- Installation and removal included in the decoration price
- All of Pomerania, with travel costs quoted upfront
Example sets for a business opening
Three sets for different types of premises and a fourth with logo balloons that can be combined with any of them. We will adapt the size of the arch to your entrance and shop window, and match the balloons to your brand colours from the available range of shades.
Shop or boutique opening
Decorations that can be seen from across the street or from a distance along a shopping centre walkway. A balloon arch in your brand colours leads customers to the door, and cutting the ribbon is a good moment for the first photographs of the opening.
- A balloon arch or garland in your brand colours around the door and part of the shop window
- A sign with the shop name or the day’s message
- A ribbon with floral styling for the ceremonial cutting
- Flowers in pots or vases on both sides of the entrance
- An arrangement for the counter by the till
Best for: Shops and boutiques opening in a new location or reopening after refurbishment, for example in the Old Town in Gdańsk, in Wrzeszcz or in a shopping centre in Gdynia.

At a restaurant opening, guests stay longer than in a shop: they eat, drink and take photographs at their tables. That is why, as well as the entrance, we decorate the bar and dining room, and keep the table flowers low so they do not get in the way of conversation or serving.
- A balloon arch at the entrance to the venue or its outdoor seating area
- A floral arrangement for the bar or cake counter
- Low arrangements for guest tables
- A balloon garland above the bar or along a wall
- A balloon or floral photo backdrop in the dining room
Best for: Restaurants, cafés and bars launching in new premises or welcoming guests back after a break, for example in Oliwa, on Monte Cassino in Sopot or on Bulwar Nadmorski in Gdynia.

For a salon, practice or office, an opening is more often an open day for clients, patients and partners than a crowd outside the door. Guests come inside and look around, so the decorations should show off the interior rather than hide it: fewer balloons, more flowers and greenery, and your brand colour in the details.
- A balloon garland woven with greenery around the door or reception desk
- A floral arrangement for the reception desk
- Flowers in vases at the entrance and in the waiting room
- A ribbon with floral styling for cutting at the door
- A floral or balloon photo backdrop, with your logo on a sign
Best for: Beauty and hair salons, practices, clinics and offices moving to new premises or inviting guests in after a refurbishment.
Ask about this set: Salon, practice or office openingLogo balloons
We weave balloons printed with your company logo into the arch or garland at the entrance, arrange them into bouquets or get them ready to hand out to your first customers.
- Logo balloons in the arch or garland at the entrance
- Plain balloons in your brand colours to complement the printed ones
- Weighted bouquets of logo balloons at the entrance or on the counter
- Helium balloons with your logo to hand out to your first customers
Best for: Businesses that want their logo to be seen in photographs of the opening and in the hands of customers who walk out onto the street with a balloon.

These sets are a starting point rather than a fixed price list: we tailor each one to your date, venue, colours and number of guests, and you can combine elements from different sets.
Ideas for a business opening
An arch visible from across the street
An arch for an opening needs to catch the eye of passers-by, including those on the other side of the street, so what matters is how it looks from a distance. A classic, regular arrangement in your brand colours, such as stripes or a spiral, is easier to read here than an organic one, and the garland can also frame part of the shop window.
A ribbon with floral styling for the opening
We stretch the ribbon across the doorway or beneath the balloon arch and dress its ends with flowers in the same palette as the rest of the decorations. Decide in advance who will cut it and who will take the photograph, because the moment lasts only a few seconds.
An arrangement on the counter or bar
Every customer stops at the counter: to pay, collect an order or ask a question. A low arrangement will make it into photographs there without hiding the till, card terminal or coffee machine.
A photo backdrop inside the premises
Guests are keen to take photographs in a new place, so it is worth giving them a single backdrop in your colours. We will put your logo or business name on a sign to one side so that it does not hide anyone’s face, and photographs taken in front of the backdrop will also show your name.
Your business name in foil letters
A short name looks good spelled out in foil letters in the shop window or beside the photo backdrop, while a longer slogan fits better on a sign. Send us the exact spelling and we will choose a letter size to suit the space.
Reopening after a refurbishment
When you reopen after a refurbishment, the decorations can show what has changed. We will match the colours of the balloons and flowers to the refurbished interior and position the arch so that it does not hide your new shop window or signage.
How we plan the opening day
You usually announce your opening time in advance, so we plan the installation by working back from it. We set up the arch, flowers and ribbon in the morning before you open or the evening before. We agree which option to go for with you and, for premises in a shopping centre, with the centre management too. Beforehand, we need to know who will let us in and where the vehicle with the decorations can park, and we will choose the size of the arch from a photograph of the entrance taken from across the street or from the shopping centre walkway.
After the opening, we come back to take the decorations down on the date agreed with you when you order: the same day after closing, or later if the arch is to welcome customers on the following days too. We fill the arch and garlands with air, so they keep their shape longer than helium balloons, and inside the premises, conditions remain steady. Outdoors is more challenging: latex becomes dull faster in full sun, and helium balloons shrink and droop in the cold. If the decorations need to stay up longer, tell us when you ask for a quote, and we will choose the balloons and their position with that in mind.
Brand colours and logo balloons
It is worth starting with your brand guidelines or colour codes. We will match the balloons to them from the available range of shades, and if your corporate colour is unusual, we will suggest the closest possible shade, for example paired with white. The arch also needs to stand out from the building: white and cream disappear against a white wall, and navy against a dark facade. Just send a photograph of the entrance and we will suggest which shades will show up well against it.
For us, logo balloons are part of the decorations, so we plan from the start where they will be seen: in the arch, in bouquets on the counter or in the hands of your first customers. Your logo does not need to be on every balloon, as plain balloons in your brand colours complement the printed ones well. We order printed balloons specially for you and they need more time than plain ones, so send your logo with your first enquiry and we will state the lead time in our proposal.
What determines the price of balloons for an opening?
The price depends most on the size of the arch or garland and whether it frames just the door or part of the shop window as well. On top of that come any further areas in the premises, such as the counter, bar, dining room or photo backdrop, and extras: logo balloons, helium bouquets, foil letters and a ribbon with floral styling. With flowers, what counts is their variety, their quantity and how easy they are to get in that season.
Logistics also matter: whether the arch stands inside or outside, how much time there is for installation before opening and whether the decorations stay up for the following days. Travel from our studio in Gdańsk is charged separately and we state its cost in our proposal from the start, while installation and removal are included in the price of the decorations. We do not publish a price list because we price each set for a specific date and address. If your opening budget is already set, include it in your enquiry: we will suggest where to focus the decorations so they can be seen from the street.

The occasion, date, venue and approximate number of guests. A photo of the venue, garden or beach is very helpful.

Refining the details

Decorating on site
We agree installation and removal times with you and the venue in advance, so that we do not get in the way of the event staff or your customers.
Frequently asked questions
How much do balloons for an opening cost?
The price depends on the size of the arch or garland, the number of areas to decorate, the flowers and extras such as logo balloons or a ribbon, and on whether the decorations stand inside or outside the premises. Give us the date and address of the opening, send a photograph of the entrance, and we will reply within 24 hours with a proposal and quote.
Can you provide balloons with our company logo?
Yes. We combine balloons printed with your logo with plain balloons in your brand colours in an arch, garland or bouquets. Printing takes extra time, so get in touch as soon as you know the date.
Can a balloon arch stand outside the premises?
Yes. In that case, we set it on a weighted base, because wind pushes against balloons like a sail, and we choose a covered spot with you straight away in case of rain. In summer, we look for shade for the arch, because balloons can burst in the heat, particularly dark ones. If it is to stand on the pavement, check in advance whether you need permission from the road authority, and for a shopping centre walkway, agree it with the centre management.
Do you issue VAT invoices?
Yes, we issue a VAT invoice to your company. Just give us your invoice details when you order, and you will already know the cost of the decorations and travel from our quote.
Is travel charged separately?
Yes, travel is charged separately. We travel from our studio in Gdańsk to businesses throughout the Pomeranian Voivodeship, for example a shop in Lębork, a café in Kartuzy or a salon in Malbork. We state the travel cost in our proposal from the start, alongside the decoration quote, so you know the full amount before you decide.
How far in advance should we order balloons for an opening?
Get in touch as soon as you know the opening date, even if the details of the decorations are still changing. We will then check whether the installation date is free, and you can finalise the colours and extras closer to the opening. For logo balloons, this also leaves time for printing.
